Gold was not introduced until 4400 BC by the ancient Thracian civilization and silver became popular in 1400 BC in Egypt.

 

Over the past 1,000 years, jewelry tastes and fashion have been profoundly influenced by the trends. While there are pieces of jewelry known to be timeless, like diamond stud earrings and dainty chain necklaces, there is also a constant flow of new and unique pieces hitting the jewelry industry everyday.
