Hook Bracelet Charm Placement Tips

When adding charms to your hook bracelet, the width matters:

  • Bracelets 2mm or smaller – It’s best to attach the charm directly to the band, as placing it on the hook may cause it to slip off.
  • Bracelets 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm – The charm won’t fit on the band itself, so attach it to the hook instead.

Pro Tip: If you are using crab claw bail charms, you can have a little more fun with the placement on your hook bracelet!

Layer for Dimension

Charms are tiny treasures, so add as many as you feel!

  • Paperclip Chain - If you are playing the crab claw bail charms, you can add multiple to the Paperclip Chain by clipping them only each link. This allows you to wear as many as you want while also keeping them in place!
  • Other Chains - You can add a mixture of both charm types to any other chain, they just will move around a bit and all come together at the center. We recommend:
    • Pairing a larger pendant with smaller charms to create depth.
    • Using different chain lengths so each charm has its own space and isn’t competing for attention.

 

Pro Tip:  Wear one charm close to the collarbone and another longer for a relaxed, beachy layered effect.
